Stacking the Shelves (5) ~ Two Week's Worth

This is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we share what books we have recently added to our physical or virtual shelves.

My last Stacking the Shelves was from September 7th, so here are all the books I've added to my bookshelves since then.

My Mom Bought for Me

My mom and I went to the bookstore the other day because she really wants to read Whispers from the Grave by Leslie Rule, but since it wasn't there, she has asked me to order it online for her (which I will do in my next book order). I got to choose any book in exchange, so I chose this one:

Won from Epic Reads

I found two packages on my table on September 8th, which was very confusing but very exciting at the same time. I had no idea I had won more than one book. All I knew was that I won a September ARC, and I didn't even know which one that would be.

I'm looking forward to reading What's Left of Me, even though I've heard mixed things about it.
I started and finished 3:59 the same day I got it. You can read my review of it here

My New AP Lit Read

I haven't read this one before (well, I'm halfway through as of last night), but a whole bunch of my classmates have. When our teacher announced yesterday that we would be starting Lord of the Flies and finishing it by Thursday, half the class groaned. It seems that this one is one of the most hated/disliked books by my senior class, along with The Great Gatsby (which I believe is a required read this year too).

These were all the books I got in the last two weeks. What did you get?

  2. I haven't heard of many of these, but I hope you enjoy them! Origin sounds particularly good. :) Ooooh and Lord of the Flies you say? Love, love, love that book! Can't believe your classmates don't like it... or perhaps they're just fed up of it? Maybe it's a one-read wonder? I'm not sure, but I loved it! And The Great Gatsby too, for that matter. ;D

    1. I have no idea why they didn't like it. I'm not sure how I feel about the book so far, but it doesn't seem that dreadful.

  6. Lord of the Flies is terrifyingly good! I recommend it a lot. You're so lucky that you get to read it for class. Shakespeare gets a bit tiring after 4 years of studying him. I love the cover of Etiquette Espionage and I am insanely jealous of 3:59!
