I wrote a guest post about what I think makes a retelling good over at Meredith's blog, Pandora's Books. Stacie and Kayla from A Wonderland of Reading and Meredith are celebrating their blogoversaries together, and they have a ton of awesome stuff going on this month. They have a lot of giveaways running, one of which is running on my guest post. If you want to win signed copies of Cinder and Scarlet, I recommend checking it out!

My Week
This was a great week! It was my first week of summer break, and it was really nice to have a lot more time to read and blog than I did during the school year. On Monday, I went to the Barnes & Noble closest to me for the very first time. I got a picture of the Teen Non-Fiction section.
The next day, I bought two dresses that I love (this is rare for me--I never wear dresses) and wore one for my high school graduation. The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and it felt so nice to graduate and get my diploma (even though my middle name was spelled wrong). ☺Below is a photo my mom took of the stage and backdrop. I find it odd that our class tree was a palm tree and our class bird was a penguin . . .

What's Happening This Week
A LOT. There's at least one author feature for Class of 2014 each day. I also have reviews that I really need to finally post (one may be a comparison style review). I'm still going to do another WoW and I'm going to post an interview with an NA author. And I'll have a cover reveal or two. Along with all of that, I will be sharing 6-7 new giveaways (there's three running here right now). I'm going to do some shameless promotion and say that this is a really, really good week to visit this blog.

How was your week? What books did you get?

  4. It's so exciting going to B&N although books are much more expensive in-stores compared to online. I'm glad you had a fantastic graduation! So lucky you had yours outside. I had mine inside our gym so the sitting was limited to 7 people per graduate. Also, The Selection is awesome (although it has mixed reviews)...I was surprised it was a light dystopian read.

    1. Online book shopping has spoiled me. I only got paperbacks at B&N because I knew I could buy them for less online. :D I'm very happy that my school always holds graduation outside unless the weather is real bad. An inside one would've been very unpleasant at my school (partly because our bleachers are broken). I hope I like The Selection!

  15. This is one of those all around joy-filled hauls. And HEIR OF FIRE?!?! The jealousy is overwhelming!;) That's a book I would break into a house for . . . But I'd be nice and only steal it long enough to read it, and then I'd return it.

    I'd call it extreme borrowing.
