Stacking the Shelves (24) ~ Run to You and Of Scars and Stardust

This is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we share what books we have recently added to our physical or virtual shelves.

My Haul

For My Kindle
Purchased
Chasing Forever Down by Nikki Godwin
Rough Waters by Nikki Godwin

For Review
The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
One, Two, Three by Elodie Nowodazkij
Sneak peek for Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Of Scars and Stardust by Andrea Hannah (Psst...I have a giveaway for this book running right now)

Getting the last three parts of Clara's series and being approved for Andrea's book (two authors I featured for Class of 2014) were two of the biggest highlights of my week. I'm so excited to read them!

ARC Tour
Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater

By the time most of you read this post, I'll be done with this book (I only have 19 pages left). It's currently breaking my heart. I'm scared of how these last chapters are going to go.

Thank you to Alyssa, Amy, and Brittany from On the Same Page for the tour!

Weekly Wrap-Up

Read/Currently Reading
Boneseeker by Brynn Chapman (4 stars)
Breaking the Reins by Juliana Haygert (4 stars)
Run to You Part One: First Glance by Clara Kensie (4.5 stars)
Run to You Part Two: Second Glance by Clara Kensie (4.5 stars)
Breaking Fences by Juliana Haygert (2 stars)

Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater (will most likely be 4.5 stars)

My Week
I . . . ordered a lot of books. Way more than I usually do.

What's Happening This Week
Not much is happening this week. I'm going to focus mainly on behind the scenes stuff (scheduling posts, event planning, emailing) and will probably just post a Top Ten Tuesday, Waiting on Wednesday, another Stacking the Shelves, and a few reviews. I'm going to finish up as many of my June/July review copies because I'll be taking a break from most ARCs for all of July. I'm also going to be doing a lot of blog commenting and commenting back. I've fallen quite a bit behind this week. And I think that's it . . .

How was your week? What books did you get?

  1. SO glad to hear you are liking Sinner! I ended up DNF-ing Linger because the story was just too slow and boring for me... idk whether I'll pick it up again.

    1. I would say pick it up again, but that's just because that story really worked for me. :D If it's a slow and boring book for you, then you're not missing out much by just leaving it unfinished.

  3. So many books! I'm really curious about The Queen of the Tearling. One, Two, Three looks creepy as well. So excited for Isla! I put off Something Strange and Deadly for now. :( I DNFed Shiver but Sinner looks really interesting and I've been hearing great things about it! :) I've heard some not-so-good things about Wicked Games, so I guess I understand why you forgot about it. :P Happy reading, Kaitlin!

  13. I actually haven't heard of the Run to You series so I think I definitely need to go check that out asap.

I am glad to see you enjoyed Sinner. I've only read Shiver and LOVED it but I didn't want to read the sequels because a. I heard Forever had an open ending and b. I thought Shiver was probably better off as a standalone .-. It's sad I never got to meet Isabel and Cole though :(

    HAPPY READING, Kaitlin!! :)
