Waiting on Wednesday (26) ~ There are Three Rules

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

What am I waiting on?

The Walled City by Ryan Graudin
Releasing November 4th, 2014 by Little, Brown
Goodreads description:

There are three rules in the Walled City: Run fast. Trust no one. Always carry your knife. Right now, my life depends completely on the first. Run, run, run.

Jin, Mei Yee, and Dai all live in the Walled City, a lawless labyrinth run by crime lords and overrun by street gangs. Teens there run drugs or work in brothels—or, like Jin, hide under the radar. But when Dai offers Jin a chance to find her lost sister, Mei Yee, she begins a breathtaking race against the clock to escape the Walled City itself.

Why am I waiting on it?
That cover. That description. The rules, the names, the Walled City . . . the everything. I must read this. Despite the fact that I wasn't a big fan of All that Glows, I think I could love this one. Definitely.

That's my WoW this week! What's yours?

  1. I can't wait for this one either! I've heard that it's great for fans of The Maze Runner, which is one of my favorite novels, so that makes me even more excited. Great pick!

  9. Yeah, I wasn't that much of a fan of All That Glows either, but still, can't wait to see what this ones like. Sounds amazing, and I mean, I've read one book from an author before and hated it, but liked their next, and vice versa. So, I have hope! :)

  14. I love how there are still dystopians out and about! I feel like every blogger I visit is saying "I'm all dystopia'd out," whereas I'm thinking "No, I'm not done yet! Don't stop suggesting good books!"
